Genome Monthly Update - February 2025

February was a huge month for Genome, packed with major updates, new features, and tech improvements. From revamping engagement with the Nexus Questing Framework to rolling out user experience improvements and the new Rooms feature, we’ve been focused on making Genome more immersive, rewarding, and easy to use leading up to the launch of Nexus Questing and Rooms.
Here’s a look at everything we’ve been working on.
New Features - Nexus & Rooms
User engagement is at the heart of every great game, yet most platforms barely scratch the surface when it comes to rewarding players for their time and effort. Genome's Nexus system, set to release soon, will change this. Get rewarded for completing in-game challenges, engaging on social media, or contributing to the community. Nexus is a fully customizable questing system that will let developers turn interactions into meaningful events.
- Personalized and Adaptive Quests
- Seamless Integration
- Organic Community Growth
Additionally, we've introduced a new Rooms feature. For anyone who’s ever played an online multiplayer game, the pre-match lobby is a familiar place. It’s where teams strategize, players chat, and the anticipation builds before a game begins. Now, Genome has its own version of this with Rooms.
- Players can connect, chat, and prepare before matches start.
- Each match has a dedicated space with all the details in one place.
- We’re expanding Rooms soon with prediction markets and performance tracking.
Tech Improvements & Documentation
We’ve also made improvements under the hood. Solana integration is making steady progress, bringing faster transactions, lower fees, and seamless interoperability. Expanding across multiple blockchains isn’t just about checking a box. It’s about giving both developers and players the flexibility to interact with Genome in the way that works best for them.
Performance has also been a major focus. We’ve been refining our backend to make everything run faster and more reliably. Load times are getting shorter, server efficiency is improving, and the platform as a whole is becoming smoother to use. Every update brings us closer to a seamless experience, but we know there’s always room to improve. If you’ve noticed any areas that could be better, let us know on X. Just tag us so we don’t miss it.
Another milestone this month was the launch of our GitBook. Developers now have a structured, easy-to-navigate hub for everything Genome-related, from key feature breakdowns to technical insights.
And we’re just getting started. Get ready for more game changing updates! API-based and event driven support for integration with Genome are on the way. Plus Ronin Network compatibility is coming soon. We’re pushing the boundaries, stay tuned as we continue improving the platform for everyone building on Genome.
User Experience Enhancements
Features alone don’t make a great platformi—t has to feel effortless to use. This month, we focused on UI/UX enhancements and built a New Player Guide to make navigating Genome and onboarding as smooth as possible. We have streamlined the main menu, improved the tournament page, and redesigned the navigation to be more intuitive. Additionally, the New Player Guide provides a hands-on approach that introduces new users to core systems.
Users shouldn’t have to think about how a platform works, it should just work. Our goal is to ensure new players start engaging right away without any frustrations.
Genome Community
We’ve officially launched the Genome Discord server. Whether you want to connect with other users, join community events, win prizes, or get access to exclusive perks, this is the place to be. Now’s a great time to jump in.
Not a fan of Discord? Keep up with us on X, where we share updates, post announcements, and host livestreams, like our first major livestream, “Welcome to Genome”. We talked about everything from our launch and AI Agents to Kode, Edge, and the future of $NOME. It's definitely worth a watch.
Additionally, we’re planning to expand the Galxe campaign, launch community raffles with prize pools for active community members, and potentially make changes to the Engage Point (EP) system.
